Munch's "Scream", Vermeer's "Pearl Girl", Monet's "Water Lily", Bansky's "Balloon Girl" and Van Gogh's "Starry Night" and "Sunflower", recreated in versions so small that they could be inserted into the hole of a needle were sold for more than ,000 90,000 (approximately ALL 12,800,000).
As a sculptor, David A Lindon started this hobby in 2018 and considered it as something "that changed his life". All the micro-paintings were sold to private collectors for £ 15,000 each.
"It seems like a natural breakthrough to explore paintings and discover how small I can work on them," he told the BBC.
"While creating a micro-painting uses the same process as making a full-size work of art, there is a greater focus on transferring the aesthetic qualities of the original while representing them on a much smaller scale."
He added: "The only thing I like is when it ends. That relief, and then seeing the expressions of joy and surprise on people's faces, is fantastic."
