For the first time since the resumption of their romance, Ben Affleck spoke publicly about his girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez.
"I'm fascinated by Jennifer's influence on the world," Affleck said in an interview with AdWeek. "Mostly, as an artist, I can make films that affect some people. "Jennifer has inspired a massive group of people who feel they belong in this country."
He added, "This is an effect that few people have had throughout history, some I will never know while one [of them] I can have around and admire with respect."
Affleck praised Jennifer Lopez, who is originally from Puerto Rico, for having served as a role model for women of color in the industry.
"All I can tell you is that I have seen firsthand the difference their representation brings because I have seen, over and over again, women of color approach Jennifer and tell her what her example as a woman is. strong and a woman who reaches out and seeks her rightful share in the business world, ”he added.
Lopez and Affleck were spotted dating in April, shortly after J.Lo split from fiancé Alex Rodriguez. They got engaged in November 2002, but separated in January 2004, shortly before the wedding. Recently, they made their first public appearance on the red carpet.
