The Apple iPhone 13 and 13 Pro line features all the predictable updates: faster performance, longer battery life, better display and new colors. But the biggest surprise for the new iPhone - and probably the only one - is the price.
Apple kept the prices of the new iPhones largely in line with last year’s models, despite rumors that prices would be much higher due to improvements to the chip system. Prices range from $ 699 to $ 799 for the iPhone 13 line, while $ 999 to $ 1,099 for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
But why didn’t Apple raise prices, knowing there are customers willing to pay any figure?
"I believe that [Apple] is aware that it has reached a point in price where the profit from the price increase in the face of the negative reaction it will face is not worth it," Ben Wood, a market research analyst, told CNN.
Wood added that Apple is focused on increasing revenue from many premium services built around the iPhone, such as iCloud, Apple Music and Fitness +.
The non-pricing strategy for the iPhone 13 is likely to attract more customers, although despite the wide range of options and prices for the iPhone, Apple's prices are still high compared to those of Android phones.
However, different types of iPhones and prices have helped the company attract more and more buyers.
