The European Commission decided to recognize the vaccination certificates against Covid. In case of travel, Albania vaccination certificates will be recognized by the EU digital system. At the same time, Albania will accept certificates issued by EU countries.
"Free Albanians to move freely in Europe with the digital vaccination passport. "The EU approves Albania, Israel and Morocco, giving a meaningful example of our digital progress, for all those who want to rejoice in the achievements, in addition to seeing only the bad to the extent that it does not exist," wrote Prime Minister Rama.
Referring to the information on the official website of the European Commission, national authorities are responsible for issuing the certificate, which can be from testing centers or health authorities, or directly through an eHealth portal.
Does it matter which vaccine the citizens have received? Vaccination certificates will be issued to all vaccinated. But when it comes to movement restrictions, Member States accept vaccination certificates for vaccines that have received EU authorization: Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson. However, EU countries are free to allow other vaccines.
Other vaccines may be approved by the European Medicines Agency. Novavax, CureVac, Sputnik V, Sinovac and Vidprevtyn are currently under review .
