The trend of “naked” dresses is back and is now more nude than ever. We have seen different repetitions of the trend over the years, but for now it seems that the fit is divided into two groups: A dress in nude color, leather and another type of dress, which is very yes very translucent.
Cher, was probably the first to wear it at the 1974 Met Gala, by stylist Bob Mackie.
Marilyn Monroe, too, sang the birthday song to President John F. Kennedy in a see-through gown.
The nude dress was also worn by Jane Birkin at the 1969 premiere of Slogan.
