As people began making allusions, Spears reacted on Twitter saying he was taking "a short break."
"Don't worry. I'm just taking a little break from social media to celebrate the way I want my engagement. I'll be back soon."
What seemed suspicious to people was the fact that his Instagram was closed just after posts like the last ones. In one of them, Britney shared with fans an article encouraging people who had been confused and manipulated by a certain system, telling them that "they are not alone nor crazy".
"People need to hear this before it's too late. I've waited 13 years and I'm still waiting for my freedom," she wrote, thanking all those who undertook to launch the #FreeBritney campaign.
