Britney Spears boyfriend Sam Asghari deleted a photo of a ring posted on his Instagram on Friday, claiming his profile had been stolen.
Engraved on the ring was the word "lion", Asghari's nickname for his girlfriend. However, a little later, he announced on Instagram:
"My account was stolen and the photo of the ring was photoshop. Calm down everyone," according to TMZ.
It is understandable that people thought Asghari, 27, was about to ask the question, given that he was spotted shopping at Cartier in Beverly Hills last week.
Earlier, Page Six also wrote that "Sam wants to make a very special proposal to Britney, but when the time is right."
"He wants to one day become a father, and the 39-year-old has naturally always wanted to have more children, especially now."
