"There is a tendency to deteriorate," said the chairwoman of the Technical Committee of Experts, Mira Rakacolli, regarding the epidemiological indicators of Covid.
She stressed that there is an increase in daily cases, which is also observed in the total number of 2-week cases. As a way to improve the coronavirus situation in the country or to keep it under control, the measures taken are the following:
1 - Starting from September 1, the curfew runs from 23:00 to 06:00.
2 - Starting from September 1, all those entering Albania at border crossings must meet three conditions:
- the vaccination certificate
- have a negative PCR test within 72 hours or a rapid antigen test within 48 hours.
- proof that they have passed Covid
Resident Albanian citizens who return to Albania and do not have one of the above documents must self-quarantine for 10 days.
3 - Recommendation of compulsory vaccination for medical staff, teachers and students. For more on this point, read here .
4 - Only traveling people will be allowed in the airport building.
5 - Obligation to wear the mask indoors as well as in rooms where it is impossible to maintain social distance (shopping malls, supermarkets, airports, public transport, etc.).
