In a statement to the press, the Technical Committee of Experts proposed the establishment of compulsory vaccination for all physicians, students and teachers.
Mira Rakacolli, chairwoman of the Committee, recommended that all three of these categories be vaccinated by September 20 and submit the relevant documents to the employment / school offices - a copy of the vaccination card issued by e-Albania.
"After this date, for those who do not have a vaccination card, ie have not been vaccinated, a periodic PCR test will be required to verify the health condition," she added.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu said that the data have shown that the 'Delta' variant is infecting people who for various reasons did not get the vaccine.
"95% of those hospitalized have not been vaccinated, which shows that the latter are taking a lot of risks," she said.
On August 26, Prime Minister Edi Rama also said that "the time may come for students and professors to be vaccinated, if they want to enter the auditorium."
