Kanye West is telling friends in the music business that he and Kim Kardashian are back together - but no one believes it to be true, according to numerous sources for Page Six.
Kim and Kanye sparked rumors of reconciliation after Kardashian appeared at a concert for the "Donda" album in Chicago in a Balenciaga Haute Couture bridal gown. Internal sources in the music industry tell Page Six that the rapper is organizing such "performance art" shows, an attempt to boost sales of the "Donda" album more than those of Drake's album.
West and Drake, two rivals who have not spared each other, have released albums almost at the same time; "Donda" on August 29, while "Drake Certified Lover Boy", Drake's album, will be released on September 3.
A music industry insider said: "Kanye has told other rappers that he and Kim are back together, but everyone knows this is not true."
"The real story is that Kanye wants to beat Drake in record sales and he's doing a great artistic show to get all the media attention."
The source added, "They were not talking for months after she filed for divorce, but started talking again this summer for the sake of their children."
"Kim is a good person - although she and Kanye are not together - she is happy to support him in his work and art, she wants a good relationship with him for the sake of their children."
Another source said, “Kim and Kanye have a real love for each other and deep stories together. "They have worked to rebuild their friendship and have been extremely supportive of each other, both personally and professionally."
Recently, it was reported that they may be back together again , but the situation remains unclear.
