Although in the last 24 hours the cases of those affected with Covid-19 have decreased significantly, in hospitals there are still patients hospitalized in severe forms of the pandemic.
Epidemiologist Pellumb Pipero during an interview with Abc News, noted the changes in the Delta version from the Covid-19 symptoms we knew so far. Unlike the initial version of Covid-19, patients affected by Delta do not have a cough or difficulty breathing.
"There are about 30 patients hospitalized. The forms are from medium to severe. Cases that have come to us currently have secret clinics, with extensive pulmonary involvement, but without difficulty breathing, I would even say without cough. So, Delta behavior, is different in the early stages of the disease. Therefore, I have called on citizens, but also my colleagues to be very careful about any new case, which refers to the family doctor and proves the first signs of Covid, even though there is no difficulty in breathing or not he has that added cough, ”said Pipero.
Even according to him, the transmissibility of the Delta variant is higher than all other variants shown so far, but nevertheless experts say that it is not as aggressive as previously thought. Fortunately, this is also reflected in the number of cases or fatalities day after day.
