If you have turned blonde, the hairdresser has probably suggested a specific shampoo, usually in purple.
Hair expert Richy Kandasmy says jokingly:
"Yes, blondes are more fun, but the fun does not last long. The blonde color is delicate and tends to lose its shine faster, to fade faster."
Specific shampoos are also needed for this. But why purple? What is a purple shampoo?
Such a shampoo contains purple pigment to neutralize bronze and yellow tones in lighter colored hair. The main reason it is purple is because on the color wheel, it is the opposite color to yellow, which means that purple and yellow "cancel out" each other. This contrast restores hair to its natural shine. While purple shampoos are especially popular for blondes, they can also be used for gray or darker hair, with blonde highlights.
So when you use purple pigment in color-treated bronze or yellow tones, it corrects the color of your hair, restoring it to its former natural or neutral shine with cooler tones. "While purple shampoos are especially popular among blondes, they can also be used to enhance gray or brunette hair with golden accents.
How to use:
- On wet hair
- Letting it act for 2-4 minutes depending on the length of the hair
- Rinsing with cold water (suggested)
- Use at least once a week and gradually, more often, if you feel the need.
