Speaking on CBC's "Face the Nation," Scott Gottlieb, an American physician and investor who served as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) commissioner for 2017-2019, said what could really determine whether he would get infected or with the Delta variant: masks.
"Delta is so sticky as a variant that when we talk about masks, I do not think we should talk only about masks. I think we should talk about high quality masks. The quality of the mask will bring change with a variant that spreads more aggressively like Delta. ” - he said.
Gottlieb recommended that even people who have received both doses of the vaccine consider wearing the mask.
The Delta variant has been confirmed in Kosovo, while no cases have been reported in Albania so far.
