Most of us have a laid back attitude when it comes to painting a picture about ourselves. Below, some Reddit users show what that moment was for them (via Buzz Feed).
1. I took care of her children and everything went well. We sat together, watched movies, talked, etc. But as soon as she started not needing a baby "nanny" anymore, I started never hearing from her again. Some people are your close friends until they no longer need you.
2. I was invited to the bachelor party of one of our society group friends. There I realized that I had not been invited to the wedding and they had to invite someone to their bachelor party to share the expenses.
3. When we were at school, we would finish classes at different times / places and wait for each other before eating, going out, etc. I was never expected.
4. A 'friend' at my university tried to steal my course assignment, pretend it was his, and kick me out for stealing his "job." However, I had help getting things fixed by one of my professors at the beginning of the year, so instead, he was expelled and blacklisted by the university.
5. I found out that my friends had a group where they talked together online, only I was not part of it.
6. Every time we would go out, "something unexpected" would come out.
7. My close friend in high school never said "yes" to me to go out. He saw all the options for the weekends and only went out with me when everyone else was busy making plans.
8. When my phone was stolen and I lost their numbers. My number didn’t change, but we just didn’t talk anymore. Apparently, I had kept the friendship all this time.
9. I asked my ex-girlfriend to take a day off for Saint Patrick’s Day, as we always celebrated it together. I remembered a few days before finalizing what we were going to do and her response was, "Oh, yes I did plan X. Come on meet us if you were going over there."
10. I was trying to open up and talk about them with very subtle things happening in my life. They kept making fun of me and making jokes and pressuring me to drink with them. There I realized that I had a very superficial friendship.
11. As soon as I finished high school, I learned all the gossip they had made about me.

13. We had decided to go enjoy music at a local institution. I spoke to many people from the group, confirming the time of the meeting. I arrived and no one else was there. They show up a little later together. It turns out they had been together all day and only I was not invited.
14. When I realized that I was always the one calling. When I no longer asked you out, my friends disappeared.
15. When I got divorced, no one once asked me "How are you?"
16. When I broke up with my boyfriend, the boy I thought of as a close friend said to me, "Is it my turn now?"
