After coming out of the sea, some people run to rinse with plain water, while some others get comfortable in the tent. How should you act?
The answer is not simple. It depends. The salt that remains in your body after the water evaporates is not harmful. Even some people with different skin diseases may prefer the sensation that salt causes on the skin. While for some others, it can be annoying.
It takes a high concentration for the salt left on the skin to cause irritation. In most cases, it causes a feeling of dryness. If you have dry skin, you should rinse immediately. If your skin is sensitive, especially to scratches or friction, it is also recommended that you remove sea salt.
Conversely, if the skin tolerates the amount of salt, you may not rinse.
However keep in mind that water cleaning is essential if you are swimming in places with lots of plants and you should take a shower if you are swimming in pools or in crowded places.
