(Maybe) Britney Spears will be completely withdrawn from her music career!

After 25 years, Britney Spears manager Larry Rudolph has resigned. In a letter published by Deadline, Rudolph said the duo had not spoken for two and a half years and that "Britney had expressed her intention to officially retire from her music career". The BBC wrote that Rudolph has managed Spears for most of her career, since Britney's mother, Lynne Spears, asked his opinion about her 15-year-old daughter's voice.

Deadline explained that Rudolph wrote a letter of resignation to Spears's father, James Spears, and court-appointed guardian Jodi Montgomery. In it, Rudolph said:

"As its manager, I believe it is in Britney's best interest for me to step down from the team, as my professional services are no longer needed."

In the letter, published by Variety in full format, Rudolph explained that he "had never been part of the guardianship or anything that was rumored in the scandal", but he was "extremely proud of what they achieved over 25 years together."

"I wish Britney all the health and happiness in the world, and I will be there for her if she needs me again, as I have always been."
