In a list of the 20 most popular beaches on Instagram, half of them are found in Europe.
The British website money.co.uk analyzed over 26 million Instagram hashtags related to beaches worldwide. Data were collected in June this year to have the latest results.
The company used the data to calculate how many Instagram posts were distributed per meter of sand. The beaches with the most posts on Instagram in relation to the sand surface were then ranked to create a list of the most picturesque beaches.
