Rapper Iggy Azalea has publicly supported Britney Spears allegations of abuse by the custody of her father Jamie, who continues to be her official guardian. Azalea, who collaborated with Spears in 2015, shared a statement on Twitter detailing incidents she witnessed during their work on the song "Pretty Girls", which they performed that year at the Billboard Music Awards.
"I personally witnessed the same behavior that Britney detailed about her father last week and I just want to support her and tell the world that: She is not exaggerating or lying."
Azalea recalled moments when she noticed that Britney was limited by even the strangest and most trivial things, like "how many fizzy drinks she was allowed to drink." Then, she brought to mind another moment, when shortly before their performance, Spears's father asked the rapper to insist on signing a contract.

"The way he was trying to persuade me to sign the contract seems very similar to the tactics Britney said he used on him at a show in Las Vegas."
Regarding Britney's performance in Las Vegas, she has previously said:
"He handed me a piece of paper as I came down from the Vegas stage and said I had to sign it. It was very threatening and scary, and with custody, I could not even get my lawyer."
Iggy closes by saying that "Britney Spears should not be forced to have next to someone who is clearly negatively affecting her mental health."
