A week after Spears gave dramatic evidence calling custody "abusive", a court document reveals that her claim has not been successful.
The singer's lawyer, Samuel Ingham, asked a court in Los Angeles to remove Jamie Spears from his position, which as Britney's guardian, also manages a million dollar fortune. During November last year, Ingham said Spears, 39, was intimidated by her father and that "he has controlled her life since 2008."
In court records, Britney Spears said she wanted the private asset management firm, Bessemer Trust named as "sole custodian".
However, documents filed in Los Angeles show that Judge Brenda Penny rejected the request while sealing the role of the Bessemer Trust as co-custodian of the estate.
The legal document says:
"The request to suspend James P. Spears immediately after the appointment of the Bessemer Trust Company Of California as the sole custodian of the assets is denied."
The recording is set for June 30, a week after the pop star gave dramatic testimony to her life, demanding an end to custody.
