More than just "bad people", these people are known as "social media trolls", a very broad term that describes people who deliberately provoke the internet, through posts of a denigrating and offensive nature.
These people deliberately leave negative comments to make others feel bad, cause trouble, try to annoy others, aim to attract attention in any way not at all correct.
A recent study by Brigham Young University (BYU), a research university in Utah, was conducted in relation to these people, research work led by Dr. Pamela Brubaker, Associate Professor of Public Relations at the School of Communication at BYU and Dr. Scott Church, expert in business communication, public speaking, media studies, etc.
Their study was based on a survey of 400 Reddit users and the results were published in the journal Social Networks and Society. According to them, most of the people known as "trolls" on social networks have the personality "Dark Triad" - "Dark Triad".
The researchers pointed out that this type of personality is very prevalent in this group of people. If you have not heard before, "Dark Triad" refers to three distinct but interrelated traits of human personality: narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy.
