In the documentary with several series of "The Me You Can't See", Prince Harry's realization in collaboration with Oprah Winfrey, the prince has confessed other details, which seem even more shocking than we've heard so far.
Sussex has shown that the reason Meghan gave up thoughts of suicide while pregnant with Archie was just the fear that it would hurt Harry.
"The only thing that stopped him was to understand how unfair another event like this would be to me, after everything I went through with my mother. He couldn't put me in positions to lose another woman of my life, with a baby inside her, our baby. The scarier thing for him was the clarity of those thoughts. She wasn't lost, she wasn't crazy, nor was she under the influence of alcohol or medication. He was totally aware of what he was going to do. Still, in the middle of a quiet night, those thoughts woke him up from sleep."
Harry recounts that Meghan had accepted his thoughts of suicide just one night before they went to the charity event at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
"She was suffering. People have seen our photos as we hold hands tight at the event. She was six months pregnant, but what people didn't know was that a little earlier that day, Meghan had shared those scary thoughts with me. The decision to end life.
I'm a little ashamed of the way I dealt with that situation. Of course because of responsibilities and duties, we hugged a little bit, changed and changed the conversation because we had to go to an event. In front of the cameras we had to look like everything was going great. There was no way to cancel anything. To tell him "you know what? We're not going!" - He keeps going.
As he describes those moments, the prince feels repentant and angry with himself for getting stuck in that situation.
"When the lights went out and we sat in those chairs, Meghan started crying. I felt sorry for him, but I got mad at myself for getting stuck in a situation like this. I was embarrassed to go to my family. Because to be honest with you, unlike many other people my age, I knew I wouldn't get from my family what I needed."
