After many opinions, experiences and questions I finally decided: You will try botox for the first time! What do doctors want you to know before such an injection that will make you look fresher?
1. As a start, you need to understand what botox is and what it is for
Botox, which is often confused with fillers, will not give you puffy lips or puffy cheekbones. It will simply fade and soften the lines of wrinkles on your face by temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause them to form.
2. Most side effects are not at all problematic
The risk from botox is almost zero. Some people may experience some pain in the injected area, headaches or nausea for a few moments. The good news for badly done botox: botox does not last forever and the defect can be resolved after a few months with another injection.
3. What you should (and should not) do before going to your botox appointment.
There is not much to do. A clean skin is enough and avoid medication at least 3 days before application. Also try to reduce fish oil, vitamin E and garlic 3 days before. It would also be ideal not to consume alcohol a few days before application.
4. You should not feel anything more than a small bite
Do not stress if you have taken it in fear because of the pain. Botox generally has a minimal pain that more closely resembles a bite. If you feel more pain than that, you should probably choose another place.
5. Activities you need to reduce
The procedure can take from 20 minutes to an hour, as it depends on the area and type of injection. You can go to work freely after him, but avoid the heat. If you go home, try not to lie down for 4 hours and again, avoid alcohol.
6. How long does botox last?
Unfortunately, the wrinkles will not disappear immediately after the procedure. You will notice the changes 48 hours after the injection as it takes at least 7 days for the composition to fully affect the facial muscles. You will notice the full result 10 days after the injection and it lasts on average 4 months.
7. You can not turn back your botox
If you hate how they worked, you will have to wait to get back to normal. It is therefore very important to turn to someone who has knowledge and experience with this procedure.
