The next guest in the "Gray Zone" section on Anabel Media on Instagram - directed by producer Dalina Buzi and focusing on some of the female protagonists in politics - was Etilda Gjonaj, Minister of Justice.
Gjonaj, the first woman in the Ministry of Justice and the longest-serving minister, faced one of the most important reforms of recent decades - justice reform. Asked if four years was enough, she said.
"There is one thing. The first time you are in such a position, you definitely need a little more. Justice reform has been very important and has been key. It struck me that in the most crucial moment of justice reform, which had to do with its implementation, having the experience as I was part of the group of experts contributing modestly, and starting to balance things you can you give in the implementation of this reform and beyond the fact that not everything depends on you, again tends to go maximally well. "Justice reform has been a success in what has been achieved so far."
Asked about the difficulties of working in a field like politics, but also elsewhere, while you have to take care of how people take you seriously without having to change, Etila stressed the importance of a strong team and confidence in what you do .
"What is very important is that if you do something with passion, you believe what you do and you have a good team, people believe in you and there is nothing more wonderful when the people around you believe in you. Such positions are given to people very few times in life, no matter where they are, but if you will leave a mark, improve people's lives, the team is the one that honors or shames you. I have had a very good team, young in age, some of whom have worked on justice reform. I believe that people should preserve their authentic part. I was the same person and if I do not believe something, I can not do it. This is the strong 'weapon'. "
On the personal relationship with the media, as a figure who has generally stayed away from interviews, Gjonaj said that he thinks that ministers should fill the pages of newspapers if they do not have something to say.
"Justice ministers should speak up when they have something to say, and despite the fact that justice reform has been at the top of my priorities, I have appeared in the media to give my feedback whenever necessary."
Regarding her vision for the next four years, the minister stayed in her field.
