During an interview with Jonida Shehu for Abc News, the Albanian doctor in London, Luan Shapo spoke about the situation of Covid-19 there, paralleling it with the epidemiological situation in Albania.
He said that in Britain, the enthusiastic results come as a result of the long closure and at the same time mass vaccination. As for our country, the doctor spoke with optimism for the coming months.
"Natural immunity in Albania has progressed, but I do not believe that the herd immunity has been achieved. I would say that as it has continued with two doses to health personnel so it should continue with other risk groups. "The second dose should be operated on as much as possible and where possible."
According to him, wine in the country will be much more liberated and interaction with people as well. Among other things, according to him, other countries are far behind Britain in terms of the vaccination process.
"From May 17, the opening is expected to be more complete (in Britain) and there we will see how much human interaction there will be. Where I work there is an increase of cases with the South African variant and now the cases are being followed house to house. "This variant tends to dodge them like natural immunity, like the vaccine," he concluded.
