Last month Rosé, one of four members of the K-Pop group Blakcpink, made her solo debut with the song " On The Ground " and Guinness World Records reports that the release has set not one, but two Guinness records.
Rosé is the first artist to reach number one on the Billboard Global 200 as a solo artist and as part of a band. In addition, the music video broke a record, becoming the music video by a K-Pop solo artist that garner more views on YouTube in 24 hours. In just 24 hours, "On The Ground" had 41.6 million views.
The previous record was held by singer PSY and his song "Gangnam Style".
Previously, Blackpink held the record for the most viewed video on YouTube and the most watched YouTube music video collected in 24 hours for the song "Kill This Love", but the record was broken by the BTS band "Dynamite".
Blackpink is the first Korean girl group to perform at Coachella and the first K-Pop group of girls to win an MTV Music Video Award.
