Covid certificates - which can allow vaccinated people or those who have been cured of the virus to travel or attend a certain event - can cause harm but also good, warn scientific advisers in the UK United.
These certificates can encourage people to get vaccinated, but at the same time, they can cause many people to be intentionally infected in order to test positive for antibodies and get the certificate that allows them to move freely.
Immunity certificates are official documents proving that an individual has been previously infected and is immune to SARS-CoV-2. Vaccination certificates indicate that an individual has received one of the Covid vaccines.
Experts also say that certificates, such as vaccine passports, can encourage people to act as if they are no longer at risk by disregarding anti-Covid measures.
The paper, which has not yet been reviewed by colleagues, was written by a group of eight psychologists and behavioral scientists, all of whom, except one, participate in the government pandemic advisory body known as the Pandemic Scientific Behavioral Observation Group ( SPI-B).
Israel has introduced a "green pass" app to allow those vaccinated to go to concerts and theater, while the EU has announced a similar scheme that will allow those who have been cured of Covid-19 or have been vaccinated to travel between member states.
