Rapper Lil Nas X will release sneakers called "Satan Shoes", which show a bronze pentagram, an inverted cross and real human blood.
The athletes are part of a collaboration between Lil Nas X and the New York-based art collective, MSCHF. The Nike Air Max 97 was used to create the models, but Nike has distanced itself from the design.
In an email statement to CNN, Nike said it was not involved in creating the modified sneakers. "We have no affiliation with Lil Nas or MSCHF. Nike did not design or publish the athletes and we do not support them."

After harsh criticism on the Internet, especially from high-ranking religious figures, the rapper posted a video on YouTube entitled "Lil Nas X apologizes for Satan Shoes", but in fact it is not as it seems. After a few seconds, the video shows a part of his new song, "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)", where the rapper dances provocatively next to a character dressed as a devil. his horns on his head.
MSCHF is known for unusual creations. In February, he tore up Hermès Birkin bags to create hats.
