After teachers, the next category to receive the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine are journalists and police officers.
Last night, the Deputy Minister of Health, Eugena Tomini said that after the teachers, the vaccination of another endangered group will start.
"We have a national immunization plan. On this plan we are walking step by step on risk groups, priority groups and their intertwining. It is expected that by mid-April we will have the amount of Covax vaccines, there will be 80,000 doses. Of course the priority groups are those at risk. Vaccination over the age of 60 and teacher vaccination will also follow. It is a combined vaccination, "she said.
Vaccination of these categories is expected to start as soon as the teacher vaccination process is completed. Regarding the type of vaccine and specifically asked about the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, Tomini did not rule out any possibility, it is enough to meet the condition of safety and effectiveness.
"A safe and quality vaccination is our main goal, to achieve this goal of course the alternatives are more diverse and all ways will be used to have a safe and fast vaccination."
