The Covid-19 vaccine produced by AstraZeneca is "safe and effective" and above all its use should be continued. This was the decision taken by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) after detailed analysis and review regarding the blood clot that allegedly caused the use of this vaccine.
The agency's executive director, Emer Cooke, said there was no evidence that the cases in question, which she said were "very rare", were caused by the vaccine, although experts considered it a possibility.
Despite what specialists consider to be safe and very effective, the investigation into whether these incidents are related to the vaccine will continue. Cooke said the benefits people get from this vaccine outweigh any possible risks.
This conclusion was reached after more than 17 European countries suspended vaccination with AstraZeneca despite the WHO call to continue the process normally.
After such a decision, the Prime Minister of the country reacted through a post on Facebook, where he emphasizes that now the focus should be on mass vaccination and breaking the links of the chain of infections.
