Dua Lipa's dress at the 2021 Grammys was shiny from head to toe. The singer chose a personalized version of Versace in sweet colors, which in her words symbolizes something important.
"This is a Versace dress made for this occasion. Butterflies have had a lot of symbolism for me this year and in fact, have a lot of meaning for Versace as well. "Therefore, I found it interesting to come together and do something nice," Dua told ET on the red carpet.
Images of butterflies are believed to represent resurrection, renewal and resistance, while the insect undergoes a major transformation to become a "butterfly". Thus, through this dress motif, Lipa can mean a big change in her life or career.
Dua made a change of dress when she took to the Grammy stage to perform "Don't Start Now" and "Levitating". She started the performance wearing an "opera" style coat, before removing it to reveal the real outfit: A shiny pink set. Literally, it shone!
