On March 8, 2020, the first case with Covid-19 in the country was confirmed, which would officially mark the start of the pandemic. Today, after 1 year and the discovery of a vaccine the fight against the pandemic still continues and people have to adapt to the new normalcy.
The Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu during a communication with the white shirts to thank them regarding this challenge said that the country is one more step towards victory, thanks to the vaccine.
Among other things, the minister added that the next goal is to increase vaccination doses.
"I bow to all your work. Now that the light is more visible at the end of the tunnel, with the vaccine, within this week in our country the vaccination of white shirts ends and this is a step in this battle, but we still have a lot of work to do. So far, 20,000 vaccinations have been given. We expect other doses of Pfizer on Monday to continue vaccinating priority groups. "Meanwhile we are in talks with Covax for 14,400 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines and continue to be in touch to increase the dose of Covid vaccines again."
