Some of us do not even leave a day without washing our hair and some (usually not those with greasy hair), may even spend it washing their hair once or twice.
While it may seem that washing your hair day after day is helping it stay clean and healthy, in fact it is the opposite. Frequent washing can make the hair look better in the short term, but the damage is happening slowly.
Some signs that you have overdone your hair are as follows:
1. Notice hair loss more than usual.
2. See that you have a lot of burnt ends, even though you cut your hair regularly.
3. The hair looks greasy.
4. Have less shine.
5. Your hair color (dye) fades quickly.
6. Your hair gets tangled easily.
Okay, you realized you washed your hair more often than you should, but what to do now? Here are some solutions:
- Try not to wash your hair every day, but on the days you wash focus more on the scalp than on the length of the hair, because that is where the fat is.
- Apply the balm only on the ends of the hair and do not overdo it with the amount applied, as too much balm can show your hair even more greasy.
- Let the hair dry naturally.
- Clean the hair comb regularly.
- Do not touch your hair all the time.
- Use dry shampoo, on days when the hair is greasy, but you do not want to show it.
- Plan shower days with workout days.
