In general, there seems to be a distrust of vaccines. In a survey conducted by Euronews.al and Market Research Bureau, part of Kantar Group, the British market research company (social media monitoring, advertising effectiveness, consumer behavior and public opinion), over 46% of respondents are distrustful of Covid.
Euronews.al reports that 32.5% say they will be vaccinated as soon as possible, while 19.9% ??say they will wait several months to see if it has side effects and then receive the injection. Meanwhile, 9.1% of citizens say they will most likely not get the vaccine and 37.3% say they will not eventually get the Covid-19 vaccine.
Regarding the end of the pandemic, most think that the pandemic will last at least another year.
In mid-February, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the arrival of another 7020 doses of the Pfizer vaccine. Meanwhile, in January, in an interview for "Open", Prime Minister Rama said that from the contract with COVAX, Albania is expected to benefit from 1,140,000 vaccines.
"We have guaranteed 500 thousand doses [from Pfizer]. 10,780 will come in January. Another 30,000 in February. We have planned with three scenarios to close it in 14 months. Spain said it will close it in 2024. We want to be ambitious and we close in 14 months, ”Rama said about the duration of the vaccination campaign.
