Dr. Panagis Galiatsatos, when asked by Bustle, says we can compare the body's response to Covid-19 vaccines to a fitness session: When you go, it can be difficult to get started and you may not feel well as your immune system is recovering. You may experience chills, restlessness, muscle aches or cramps - All signs that your immune system is functioning.
Personally, Galiatsatos says he and his wife experienced chills, and his wife also had a low-grade fever.
Some people may experience these side effects (or similar) right away, but for others, it may take several hours. Janelle Ringer, 27, a public relations specialist at a trauma center in Southern California, says she felt well after the vaccine, which she did in the morning. However, during the night, she had aches, muscle aches and chills.
"I felt a little sluggish the next day, but the pain and tremors were gone," she says.
For some people, the second dose may bring more serious side effects than the first, says Galiatsatos, although he felt them more in the first dose. Doctors point out that so far, these effects are considered normal and are temporary.
However, bodies react in different ways, so nothing is absolute. Many people have been vaccinated and have not even felt an ongoing change.
