Based on the latest announcement of the Committee of Experts, the restrictive measures will continue until February 25, but the new decision does not necessarily mean their release.
One of the experts of the Technical Committee, Andi Koraqi, told Abc News that the possibility is not ruled out that the new measures will be even tighter than the current ones, but before that the epidemiological situation figures should be analyzed.
"Any measure, release or coercion is done depending on the indicators and the indicators suggest these measures," he said, adding that in case the measures will be even more restrictive.
Among other things, he said that despite the serious situation of Covid-19 in the country and high numbers, the virus is no longer aggressive. Koraqi says that the reason for the increase in severe cases is the overlap of respiratory tract viruses or the presence of new variants, but this remains to be confirmed.
According to him, a calming of the situation of Covid-19 in the country is expected in May-June, but a closer time is not ruled out if the measures are implemented strictly.
