Through a statement of the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Evis Kushi, it was also announced how the teaching process will continue starting from Monday (February 22), held online due to the situation aggravated by Covid and the problems weather across the country.
"I want to inform you that from Monday, February 22, 2021, we will all return to the previous scenario. So, teaching in all schools of pre-university education, public and non-public, will take place as follows:
- primary school students (grades 1 - 5) in school;
- high school graduates;
- and students in grades 6 - 11 according to the combined scenario. "
The Minister added that high schools (grades 10, 11 and 12) located in high risk areas (Tirana, Fier, Vlora, Berat, Durres, Gjirokastra, Lezha, Lushnja, Pogradec and Kamza) will continue online until February 26, 2021, at the suggestion of the Technical Committee of Experts.
"During these days I have had many messages from you, with various concerns, some seeking return to school and some others fearing the pandemic situation. I want to assure you all once again that our decisions are based on the absolute priority for the health, safety and well-being of our children.
Therefore, expressing once again my deep gratitude for the patience you have shown these days, I want to reiterate the strong appeal for all of us to be as careful as possible in respecting all the established rules, inside and outside the school, because "Only in this way can we help prevent the virus from spreading."
