# 1 - You can get sexually transmitted diseases even if you use a condom
Although condoms are very effective in preventing sexually transmitted diseases that are transmitted through body fluids, other STDs are spread by skin-to-skin contact, according to the FDA. This means that you can still get sexually transmitted diseases such as human papillomavirus (genital warts), genital herpes, syphilis, etc.
# 2 - Masturbation for women is normal
Masturbation is a natural behavior and although it is private, it should not be "demonized" or avoided in educational conversations. The myth that only boys masturbate is the worst thing you have ever heard or thought.
# 3 - The Real World
Of course, in theory you know that it is better to use protective measures during sex, but in the speed and intensity of the moment it often happens that this is avoided.
Women have every right to stop if they do not feel comfortable and safe, but it would be ideal for partners to talk in advance about ways of protection during sexual intercourse.
# 4 - You need to urinate after sex
Sex education usually focuses on unwanted pregnancies and the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, but there is rarely talk of urinary tract infections.
Doctors agree that "although you may want to go straight to sleep after intercourse, you should stop in the toilet once, thus removing any bacteria that may be causing the infection."
# 5- There are many types of "protection"
Most of us know or have only heard of condoms and contraceptives, but there are other options such as IUDs, rings, implants, etc., for which you can consult your gynecologist.
# 6 - You can get pregnant even during periods
Even during periods, women are still more likely to become pregnant, so unprotected sex remains equally dangerous.
