Unwillingly, Meghan Markle changed her name to the birth certificate of her son, Archie.
The Sun reports that the former actress, 39 years old, "secretly deleted" her first names, Rachel Meghan, from the document, in June 2019, almost a month after the birth of her son.
Instead of her name, the title / name was placed on the certificate: "Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex".
Prince Harry's name was also changed to: "His Royal Highness Prince Henry Charles Albert David David, Duke of Sussex".
While the son of Harry and Meghan was born on May 6, 2019, his birth was not recorded until May 17 and the adjustment occurred on June 5.
Meghan's representative in a statement to Us Weekly, said:
"The name change in the public documents in 2019 was dictated by the Palace, as confirmed by documents from senior Palace officials. This was not requested by Meghan or her husband."
The statement went on to say that rumors that Meghan did not want to be named in any document, or that this was "a family trap", are no longer offensive, but ridiculous.
Meanwhile, people on Twitter recently got angry with Prince William, following a post about racist comments about an athlete.
Someone wrote to him:
"You should have spoken just as loudly, even when the target of racism was part of the family, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan."
