The immunization process is an important process in a pandemic like that of Covid, as the vaccine not only provides protection to the individual, but also ensures the immunity of the population. In other words, the more people are vaccinated, the slower the transmission rate of Covid. Given this, how many Albanians need to be vaccinated?
In an interview for "Open", Prime Minister Rama said that the community that needs vaccination consists of 2.2 million Albanians.
"It is a community of 2.2 million or more that will have to be vaccinated, because those under 16 do not enter the vaccination project in any country, today. "There is a country in Asia that started it at a young age for its own reasons, I do not know."
He stressed that "it is a rough figure. That's not an accurate figure. " Rama said that the vaccination process is foreseen with three scenarios:
"We have made a national vaccination plan and be 100% covered in a process which we have foreseen with three scenarios. In the previous scenario, the most aggressive, we want to close the vaccination process for 14 months, in the second scenario it is 18 and in the third it is 24 months [...] Spain said it will close in 2024. We want to be ambitious and close it in 14 months. ”
