Eurovision 2021 will take place, but with some (few) unusual changes!

Covid-19 restrictions, banning large crowds, cancellation of international trips, etc., made the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest a disaster.

Eurovision 2021 will be held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and this year, the United Kingdom is also participating.

Since September 2020, the team behind Eurovision has evaluated the opportunities for this year's competition.

However, it has now been confirmed that Eurovision 2021 will be broadcast on 22 May.

Organizers have explained on their website that tickets for the 2020 show will still be valid this year.

However, it remains unclear whether there will be a live audience, in line with Covid-19 restrictions.

Organizers, in an interview with the BBC, mentioned some of the changes that will be made.

They said:

"If one of the competitors fails to appear for reasons related to Covid-19, they may submit a recorded version of their performance."

So, some singers may not perform directly, which is one of the characteristic qualities of Eurovision.

"This may seem a bit unfair as singing live is much more difficult, pro organizers have pointed out that there are strict guidelines that artists must follow, which include" recording in real time (as it would be in competition) without making any edits to the vocals or any part of the performance itself after registration ", the organizers add. 

Also, if some places can not travel, they can do the performance from Zoom.
