Prime Minister Edi Rama said that he did not want to join anyone, but in order to increase people's trust in the vaccine, he decided to be vaccinated.
The first to be vaccinated was the Chief of Infectious Diseases at the University Hospital Center "Mother Teresa", Najada Çomo, followed by the Prime Minister, epidemiologist Pëllumb Pipero and the doctor and professor of infectious diseases, Tritan Kalo.
After the vaccination, Rama left the vaccination center at "Air Albania" and briefly said: "It is certain that the vaccine leaves the Illyrians Illyrians and no chip is inserted into the body to eavesdrop on the rumors of cafes." The Prime Minister clarified that the vaccine will be advisable, but not mandatory.
Under the motto "Albania Smiles", the vaccination process will be carried out in the premises of the stadium "Air Albania" and the first to be vaccinated are doctors, as the most at risk of the virus. The vaccination process will be daily for 8 to 10 hours and according to forecasts 60 people are expected to be vaccinated within 1 hour.
