Although the vaccine has just begun to spread to many parts of the world, the coronavirus is still ubiquitous. Gatherings, parties and any group of people are still forbidden, but this does not stop some young people from celebrating and gathering together.
Cosmopolitan asks some girls why they continue to organize and attend crazy parties at home as well as family parties, despite the pandemic.
"I went to a friend's party for Halloween. It was said to be something small and secret, but it was not at all like that. The guests were supposed to have been tested, but I knew many of them and knew they had not been tested. I had not done the test either. Many of us took Covid that evening, but it was not as serious as we were told. I do not regret it, but I probably would not do it again. " - 22 years old
"The biggest holiday I went to was in September. I had to go, it was not just for fun. My boyfriend and I were quarantined right after the party. My dad also had a retirement party, with family and close friends. As for the event I was part of, there was definitely some kind of risk, but it was worth it. However, lately I have been worried and anxious. " - 24 years old
"All my friends organize parties at home and they are not interested in Covid at all. As far as we know, no one has contracted the coronavirus. "We are losing the experience of being a student, so whenever we are given the opportunity to 'be real students', we take advantage of it." - 18 years old
"I went to a wedding during the summer because my sister was getting married and she and her husband had pushed her several times, it seemed ridiculous to continue to suspend such a moment. There were about 20-25 people. Everyone took the test and were quarantined before the wedding. This has been a difficult year for us, as we lost our grandparents and have had many family problems. We all needed such joy and we do not regret it at all because it brought us closer to each other (not physically). - 32 years old
