Whether we like it or not, once a month we are all used to abdominal pain, tense nerves and everything else that comes with periods. Twice is a lot, but here it happens.
Girls often complain that their cycle is not regular and menstruation comes more than once in 21 days. Something like this is not entirely normal and certainly this does not happen for no reason.
On average, the cycle should occur 1 time in 21 or 35 days and can last from 2 to 7 days. But if in recent months you have noticed periods return, take a look at the following reasons.
1. You forgot to take contraceptives.
If you are using contraceptives and forget to drink, bleeding will be inevitable. This is because the withdrawal of hormones is sudden for your body. However, such a hemorrhage is not a concern. If you start drinking them again, the bleeding will stop.
2. Congratulations, you may be pregnant.
We know, we know. The red alarm goes off when periods do not come, but believe it or not, in some women and girls the opposite happens. Periods are irregular and come more than once when they are pregnant. This can usually happen around the first 3 months. Do not be skeptical, find out with a simple pregnancy test.
3. You may have a vaginal infection
Vaginal or cervical infections are annoying for a variety of reasons and the onset of periods more than once a month is one of them. Vaginal bacteria can cause irregular bleeding.
4. You may have problems with your thyroid gland.
If the menstrual irregularity persists for a long time, do a simple blood test to rule out thyroid problems.
5. You may have cysts
8 to 20% of girls in the world suffer from polycystic ovary syndrome, which often causes menstrual disorders. If periods do not come for a long time, or bleeding suddenly increases you may have problems with cysts.
