Today the date marks 21/12/2020 and it is not an ordinary day at all! Jupiter and Saturn will be placed in a straight line next to each other, creating the event called the "great union". This date marks the largest approach of the planets occurring once in about 400 years.
When Saturn and Jupiter meet on December 21, the planets will look like a shining point that will be easily discernible in the night sky. Throughout the last few weeks the planets have been moving towards each other.
The last time a spatial event like this happened was December 21, 1623, but people could not see anything as the planets were too close to the Sun.
How visible and shiny will it be?
Astrologers say that people should not have expectations thinking that they will see something insanely visible. It will not shine as much as the Moon, but it will look, just make sure that a giant tree or palace does not obstruct your view. The planetary event will take place immediately after sunset and people can see the planets merge around 7pm. If you are lucky you will notice two shiny dots. The one that shines the most is Jupiter and the other Saturn.
This is the most beautiful light we can see from the 2020 sky, so do not miss it for any reason!
