The group of protesters, who moved from the Ministry of Interior to the Prime Ministry to protest the murder of 25-year-old Klodjan Rasha by the police, set fire to the tree in front of the Prime Minister decorated for the New Year. Police immediately intervened to extinguish the flames and bring the situation under control, reports Euronews.
Civil society activists, as well as various citizens, were physically confronted by police forces in front of the Ministry of Interior, while it was previously reported that an employee in blue uniforms was injured. Euronews reporter reports that protesters have repeatedly called for the departure and resignation of Prime Minister Rama and Minister Sander Lleshaj. According to reports, a media employee was also injured in the confrontation.
Balkan Web reports that rapper Stresi was injured, along with a JOQ journalist, while Top Channel field journalists report that protests also took place in Durrës.
Meanwhile, the sister of the deceased said for "Invitation to Five":
"He was a very good boy. He was engaged, he was family. He did not know the weapons, or as the police said. How can you run away and drop your weapon 200 meters away? Ai s'ka pas. "He was taking cigarettes and coming home."
