Rita Ora breaks the rules of the pandemic for the second time and apologizes again: What did she do this time?
Pop star Rita Ora has apologized for violating Covid-19 restrictions for the second time in the UK.
The 30-year-old flew to Egypt for a private performance on November 21st. When she returned the next day, according to established rules, she should have been isolated for two weeks.
Instead, she organized a birthday party in London, which was against the closing rules.
The star apologized for the holiday last week and offered to pay a fine.
Mail On Sunday reporters revealed details of her invitation to Egypt and said the singer has agreed to travel for a large sum of money.
An unverified source also told the Mail that Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi was among those present, though the claim has been discussed.
In response to this news, Ora said she "deserved the criticism" for her actions and that she would donate the money she received from the charity concert.
In a statement, she said:
"Recently I flew to Egypt to perform in a private company and the party took place within the rules of protocol, as well as tests were conducted for Covid, respecting the Egyptian authorities.
"After my return to Britain, I should have followed government advice and isolated myself. As you know, I did not follow the country council and I apologized earlier this week. I apologize again, without reservation."
Then, he added:
"I understand that my pardon as a public figure does not carry much weight, but if you were thinking of following my example, my message is simple: Please do not do it! The guilt and shame I have held over these weeks for my mistake is not worth it. Instead, follow the advice of professionals and take the necessary measures. I will take all the criticism that will come, because I deserve it. "
She hopes that "one day she will reward the public and the doctors who have supported her."
