As if the winter and cold were not enough, the fear of gaining weight, this year adds to the prolonged stay at home due to the pandemic. What does this mean? More time at home, more times with head extended from the fridge. It is universally known that most people in winter tend to gain weight, but on the other hand nothing will change if you are a little more careful during these months. What should you do?
1. Focus on home cooking
Avoid eating out and cook for yourself! In doing so, you see each ingredient accurately, control the portions and let it be accepted, you try to eat less than the other members because "you are full of cooking".
2. Eat more protein and give up carbs
When it's cold we tend to go for comfortable, tasty food (remember here the bread just out of the oven), but remember that summer comes quickly. Maintain a certain nutritional balance, eat of all but more foods with protein values.
3. Vegetables, vegetables, vegetables
You do not necessarily have to consume only vegetables at every meal, but dinners do well to find you with broccoli.
4. Think about food in advance
Do not let hunger lead you because the end is known. Always prepare something at home so as not to end up with fast food and the next excuse.
5. Move
We know that it is not easy to leave the warm bed and go out in the cold, but only the first few seconds are the hardest. Try doing fitness or yoga at home.
6. Remember to stay hydrated
Water is often forgotten during the winter season, but remember that you should drink at least 1.5 liters of water a day!
7. Be consistent
It's hard to resist sweets or fast food all winter long, or on the other hand exercise every day of the week, but there is no need to do it anyway. Just be realistic and aware of what you are doing, so you will never go overboard.
