Skënder Brataj, General Director of the National Medical Emergency Center spoke on Top-Channel about Covid's situation in the country.
"With the numbers we see today, after 3 weeks we will have more patients with a higher percentage, so performing scenarios 2-3 weeks ago is very important not to be unprepared, but we need the help of citizens ".
He said that "every resource, every scenario will be made available, but we must not exhaust them with great speed."
The doctor called on the citizens to get the flu vaccine, as it "also protects against Covid".
"Even though the flu vaccine may be different, it may in some ways reduce the risk of Covid-19."
According to the doctor, the main difference between the two diseases is that "seasonal flu lasts less, is easier, and has as a characteristic sign, secretions from the nose."
I asked what is the other scenario, after the change in the learning process online , Brataj explains that "the situation is being assessed at any moment."
"The effect of the measures that have been put must be seen to decide on other measures. So far we have said that they are light and medium measures, they can go from medium to more restrictive, more drastic measures related to time limitation, or maybe closure during the weekends or a closure of a few weeks, which at the moment we have not considered it, but that is one of the measures that can drastically reduce the spread of infection. We know very well that the best measure is closure, but, since closure brings many other problems, a balance must be maintained for all these problems. "
