"Five years ago, Arbër Hajdari founded a humanitarian association to help the poor living in Albania. This poverty is not new, he explains, but society has ignored it. Thanks to this foundation, thousands of Albanian families have emerged from poverty. "But there is still a lot of work to be done, as about 40% of Albanians live on less than five euros a day."
This is how Arte television describes the work of "Fundjavë Ndryshe". For several days their staff stayed in Albania to make a documentary about the foundation. Realized by the journalist Dirk Schraeder, in the material of 30 minutes is given a wide panorama of the activity of "Fundjavë Ndryshe".
"My parents both had difficult childhoods in very poor families. My father grew up an orphan, this is also one of the reasons why my parents supported me a lot in the first months of my work. But then there were definitely moments when they asked me where I was actually going. In the beginning, the foundation was very small, not as big as it is today. At that time they were skeptical, today they are again fully in my support and help me wherever they can, "said the founder of the foundation in the documentary.
The staff of European television became part of some of the activities that "Fundjavë Ndryshe" has been carrying out for 5 years now.
