During 2020, French manicure was one of the favorites. The design was classic, but unlike the usual technique, white was replaced by pastel shades or other strong colors. Another idea for French designs is to use a more subtle nuance. Nail beautician Fariha Ali called the model "oat milk nails".
Fariha was the one who created the term, which he explained to Allure as follows:
"The client wanted something super natural for her nails. A few years ago, I had made a similar version, which I called ‘almond milk nails’. The 2020 version is oat milk. ”
